The income threshold is $14,100.00 a year to qualify for an apartment rental rate of 30% of your monthly income. I say "most", because there are certain city subsidized complexes in Rancho Mirage that require city residency in order to qualify. Most subsidized apartments in the Coachella Valley have wait lists. I can forward a list sorted by city that will contain contact information for you. The best approach is to decide where you want to live and call each complex to be put on the call list.
