Rick Peterson
Though Rick’s professional background is in business, marketing and sales management, he quickly found his passion for serving the senior community.
He saw a need for compassionate advocacy for a population whose voice was not easily heard and through the development of Senior Living Options of the Desert has made a commitment to provide resources for every senior that needs assistance and guidance.
Aside from his duties as CEO of Senior Living Options of the Desert, Rick currently serves on the Executive Board of Directors of Mizell Senior Center in Palm Springs and is actively involved in philanthropic and community organizations and on fundraising and event planning committees for the Coachella Valley chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association and Mizell Senior Center.
Rick also serves as a delegate to the Congress of California Seniors, a statewide organization that advocates on behalf of seniors.
Susan Peterson
With over 25 year’s involvement in the eldercare industry, Susan is well known and highly respected in this field.
Prior to the founding of Senior Living Options of the Desert in 2005, Susan owned Winter Bloom Residential Care which consisted of seven residential care homes in Orange County. Having successfully operated Winter Bloom for over 15 years, Susan has earned the respect of the senior care community and state licensing officials, garnering the reputation for providing the highest quality of service. Through her vast experience, she has naturally developed a keen sense of what is integral to operating an exemplary care facility…Knowledge she gladly shares, as she is passionate about raising the bar for quality senior care in the Coachella Valley.
Susan has been actively involved in the Orange County chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association and served on the Board of Directors of the California Assisted Living Association. She also participated in a task force to develop curriculum for the Gerontology Department at Cal State Fullerton and has served on the Board of Directors of Aging Community Team l, a non-profit organization serving seniors of the Coachella Valley. She is also involved in Soroptomist International of Palm Springs.
Leann Dale
Leann is a native Californian, born in Glendale and grew up in the Los Angeles area. She moved to Palm Springs in 1993 where she currently lives with her husband, Ron; a rescued dog and cat.
She enjoys entertaining, cooking for friends, music and loves animals.
Leann is a member of Soroptimist International of Palm Springs whose main focus is to help women and girls both locally and throughout the world.
Most of her working career has been in customer service. She was a Financial Advisor with A. G. Edwards and Wachovia Securities before coming to Senior Living Options of the Desert as a Family Advisor.
She has worked closely with the Alzheimer’s Association, Desert Oasis Health Care and many community based groups that help seniors find solutions to their needs.
Leann has been very instrumental in assisting seniors to find safe, viable living options based on physical, mental & financial needs. She works closely with families to help determine the best choice for each individual situation.
Leann never hesitates to tell her clients “that being a Family Advisor is the most fulfilling career she has ever had and how much she loves what she does”.
Brad Harker
Brad was raised in southern California and has earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Whittier College. He spent 8 years in the Silicon Valley working in sales and consulting in the technology industry. Brad has lived in the Coachella Valley for 10 years with his wife and 2 children and is involved in youth sports by being the President of one of the local soccer clubs.
Brad is dedicated to serving and servicing the senior population of the Coachella Valley and has worked with community based groups such as ACT1 and Desert Oasis Health Care. He also works closely with Eisenhower Medical Center by providing resources and solutions for many of the discharged patients and their families.

Colleen Solomon
Colleen was born and raised in Southern California. After living in the Los Angeles area most of her life, she settled in the Coachella Valley in 2009.
Through her varied and interesting career history and a flight instructor and a Certified Hypnotherapist, Colleen has learned to work one on one with people in often very stressful circumstances. She uses all of these skills while providing assistance and back up at Senior Living Options.
Colleen’s calming manner and friendly voice is most likely the first experience you will have when you call SLO.
In addition to duties at SLO, Colleen stays very busy with her Hypnotherapy practice and if she has any free time, she spends it studying martial arts!
